THE SHIP RIVIERA ARRIVES AT THE PORT OF CARTAGENA WITH MORE THAN 1,200 PASSENGERS ON BOARD
Cartagena, 12 June 2019.- The cruise ship 'Riviera' docked, for the first time this season, at the Cruise terminal early in the morning with more than 1,200 passengers and a crew of 770 people. The cruise ship, from the Oceania Cruises shipping company, under the Marshall Islands flag, which is 240 metres long, arrived from Almeria and will sail towards Ibiza this afternoon.
Built in 2012, it has recently been refurbished in Marseille, as part of the OceaniaNext programme, which Oceania Cruises is carrying out on its ships. The most outstanding changes have been made to the new cafeteria area with the incorporation of a new lounge with panoramic sea views, together with pieces created to measure by Ralph Lauren Home in the cabins and on the terraces.
During June, 15,000 passengers are expected on 10 ships. As of May, 80,659 tourists on 63 vessels have docked in Cartagena. According to forecasts for 2019 there will be 165 stopovers and 240,000 passengers, which represent a new record in both stopovers and passengers.
